Mike Morgan Head ShotA long time veteran of the Rochester NY and San Francisco music scene, Mike has taken the stage with a diverse range of musical ensembles ranging from Celtic Rock to Post War Surf Punk bands. A multi-Instrumentalist, He has fronted his own blues band on guitar, and played the Bagpipes to screaming crowds at regional Irish festivals.

The list of bands with whom Mike has performed include: Taran, The Regi Hendrix Band , The Wild Geese, Buster and his Merry Band Of Thieves, Boogie Men, Lil' Billy Brown, Roosevelt Dean and the Spellbinders, The Rob Buck Band (of 10,000 maniacs), Slap Happy Joe, Morgan, Altman, Cywinski, The Dave Altman Project, Rub The Buddha, Thursday Society Jazz Band, Exhibit A, Arpad and The New Sons of the Industrial Revolution, Bohemian Fringe And Many Others with CD or Vinyl releases from many of them.

He studied Drums and Percussion with John Beck of the Eastman School of Music, Vinny Ruggerio (Miles Davis Quartet), Barrett Deems (Chicago’s worlds fastest drummer) and Ted Reed (synchopation). Proficient at drum kit, orchestral percussion, mallet instruments, mandolin, bass, guitar and great highland bagpipes. Musically, his influences include: Davey Tough, Chick Webb, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Mickey Dolenz & Animal from the Muppet show!



After a two-month audition process that scoured the northeast, Mike earned the drum seat for the Reggie Hendrix Band, a project that included some of the top players in the northeast.

On a personal level, Freaking Out is a process whereby an individual casts off outmoded and restricting standards of thinking, dress, and social etiquette in order to express CREATIVELY his relationship to his immediate environment and the social structure as a whole.
