Ok, it seems like everybody under the sun is getting one. What's the deal?

They're new and looking for exposure. This is the time to get in.

I don't know of anyone around here who switched to Soultone besides me and Duba, but basically Soultone will endorse anyone regardless of exposure, playing ability or recognition.

I switched to Supernatural but I know A LOT of Soultone artists.

It seems like Soultone is taking Shine Drum's idea of endorsing everyone who uses their product, kinda cool but it really minimizes what an endorsement is all about.

That's what I'm thinking. It doesn't really mean anything. I know they get an artist discount, but that's about it right?

You get a discount and they may use your image in ads but I'm not sure how they do their particular endorsements. The better known you are, the better service you get.

You get a discount and an artist page on they're site that you write and maintain. I haven't even put one up.

I fell in love with the cymbals, I had to have them. Otherwise Soultone wouldn't be my first choice of a company to be endorsed by. The fact that they'll endorse anyone urks me. They have NO NY distribution at all. and they make artists update theyre own profile pages, with i think is kinda weird. I can basically write whatever I want.

The fact of the matter though was that I was in the market for new cymbals and I played EVERYTHING at that show. I had 3 favorites. Not Zildjian, Not Sabian. My favorite cymbals at NAMM were Paiste, Diril, and Soultone. Paiste was my number 1. I loves Paiste's, always have. They're stupid overpriced and I refuse to buy them new. I also really loved Diril cymbals. But the cymbals I liked were from 2 series, they didnt have many of them there, and i heard they're quality control wasn't amazing, so I may get a VERY VERY different sounding cymbals. Soultone had some incredible sounding stuff that just jumped out at me as soon as I hit it. I hit 2 crashes, a set of hats and a ride that I NEEDED to have. I got the 2 crashes but still haven't gotten the ride of hats. They offered to endorse me with no idea who I am. So I took the endorsement for the discount. I haven't put up an artist profile or sent them anything yet, and nothing has changed about what I play out or record with.

Supernaturals Artist profiles are maintained by the artist as well.

Funny I saw this thread JUST as my first cymbal arrived this afternoon (20" Gospel Ride)

What directed me to Soultone was definitely the sound quality, as Dose said. This was after checking out all the companies that were showcasing at the London Drum Show last year.

One cool thing that Soultone also do is allow their artists to personalise their cymbals with their own logo design. (I have the Desecrator text with my signature underneath)

Whenever you seek endorsements, you have to be assured that they are professional with you at all times and vice versa. I find their AR department really easy to work with and they don't rush you too much to replace all your cymbals at once, hence I'm currently replacing my gear one at a time.

I don't like our SN Profile page because most drummers don't take advantage of it. I'd rather do away with it. Expect changes soon.

Great! Thanks for taking advantage of it. I think we'll have to help each and every endorser to understand how to use it.

I try to put as much info up as possible on my profile. I like to throw up little updates and pics from time to time.

You would think that with all the social networks that the SN artists would be used to that sort of self-maintained page. Of course there are artists out there who are very busy.

SN is a fast growing company so I'm sure things will change, improve, and develope. If theres one thing you can count on with SN, it's doing things big, and doing them well.
